We are seeking a talented and motivated candidates for the above positions to join our team at antidote Cromwell in Cromwell, Otago. This is a full-time role that plays a key part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our pharmacy's dispensary.
As a Dispensary Technician, you will be responsible for assisting pharmacists with the preparation and distribution of medication to our patients, while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and patient safety.
As Trainee Dispensary Technician, you will be trained to undertake the roles mentioned below.
What you'll be doing
- Accurately prepare and label prescription medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist
- Maintain the organisation and cleanliness of the dispensary to ensure an efficient workflow
- Perform data entry tasks such as updating patient records and processing insurance claims
- Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and the pharmacy team
- Adhere to all relevant pharmacy regulations and guidelines to ensure compliance
- Assist pharmacists with other duties as required to support the overall operations of the pharmacy
What we're looking for
- Current training or completion of a recognised Pharmacy Technician qualification or equivalent for position A
- Previous experience working in a pharmacy or healthcare setting, preferably in a dispensary role for position A
- Minimum High School Qualification for Position B
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach
- Proficient in the use of pharmacy-specific software and computer systems
- A team player with a positive attitude and the willingness to learn and grow
