Pharmacist Position - Whangārei
Are you a skilled pharmacist with keen communication skills, dedicated to delivering old-fashioned patient care? We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated pharmacist to join our large and dynamic team in the beautiful Northland region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient services, including but certainly not limited to prescriptions
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals in a private hospital setting to support patients.
- Provide clinical services, including preparation of discharge scripts and specialised services such as:
- Emergency Contraceptive Pill (ECP)
- Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) treatments
- Marivet
- Clozapine
- Suboxone
- Methadone
- Travel health
- Deliver vaccinations and contribute to community health initiatives.
- Manage Medico blister packs and support medication management for rest homes.
- Build strong relationships with patients and healthcare providers to ensure optimal outcomes.
Requirements:
- Current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) or a reciprocal degree from Australia, the USA, Canada, or the UK.
- Proven clinical experience and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.

- Wednesday to Saturday, OR
- Sunday to Wednesday.
- There are plenty of other pharmacists to share your weekend day for special events.
- Two pharmacists are on duty on weekends, so there is very little need to be the sole charge (apart from your lunch break).
