Pharmacist Position - Whangārei

Are you a skilled pharmacist with keen communication skills, dedicated to delivering old-fashioned patient care? We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated pharmacist to join our large and dynamic team in the beautiful Northland region.

​

Key Responsibilities:

​

• Patient services, including but certainly not limited to prescriptions
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals in a private hospital setting to support patients.
• Provide clinical services, including preparation of discharge scripts and specialised services such as:
• Emergency Contraceptive Pill (ECP)
• Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) treatments
• Marivet
• Clozapine
• Suboxone
• Methadone
• Travel health
• Deliver vaccinations and contribute to community health initiatives.
• Manage Medico blister packs and support medication management for rest homes.
• Build strong relationships with patients and healthcare providers to ensure optimal outcomes.

Requirements:

​

• Current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) or a reciprocal degree from Australia, the USA, Canada, or the UK.
• Proven clinical experience and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.

• Wednesday to Saturday, OR
• Sunday to Wednesday.
• There are plenty of other pharmacists to share your weekend day for special events.
• Two pharmacists are on duty on weekends, so there is very little need to be the sole charge (apart from your lunch break).
