Pharmacy Assistant

About the role

​

As a part-time Pharmacy Assistant at Vogeltown Pharmacy in New Plymouth Central, Taranaki, you'll play a crucial role in supporting the efficient and customer-focused operations of this community pharmacy. Joining a dedicated team, you'll be responsible for a variety of tasks that contribute to the smooth running of the pharmacy and the excellent care provided to patients.

What you'll be doing

​

• Delivering excellence in customer service and understanding the needs of our customers in a health environment
• It is essential that you have a caring and empathetic manner towards all customers
• Processing sales, and handling cash and inventory
• Inputting stock into our system, unpacking stock, merchandising stock
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to pharmacy operations
• Restocking shelves and ensuring the pharmacy is clean, organised, and well-presented
• Supporting the team with general administrative duties as required.

What we're looking for

​

• Previous experience in a customer service or retail role, preferably within the pharmacy or healthcare industry
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with both customers and the pharmacy team
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately and efficiently
• A genuine interest in healthcare and a commitment to providing high-quality service
• The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and to follow instructions and procedures
• Proficiency in using computers and pharmacy-related software
