Job Summary:
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will assist the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medications, managing inventory, and providing excellent customer service. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the pharmacy and the health and well-being of our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Medication Preparation and Dispensing:
- Assist the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure all medications are properly labeled and packaged.
- Maintain accurate patient records and medication histories.
Customer Service:
- Provide exceptional customer service to all patients and customers.
- Answer customer inquiries about medications and over-the-counter products.
- Offer advice on general health and well-being under the supervision of a pharmacist.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, including ordering and stocking medications and supplies.
- Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure accuracy and prevent shortages.
- Handle expired or damaged stock in accordance with regulations.
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain clean and organized work areas, including the dispensary and storage areas.
- Assist with the preparation of reports and documentation as required.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and pharmacy policies.
Qualifications:
Education and Certification:
- A Pharmacy Technician certification or equivalent qualification is required.
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is desirable.
- Familiarity with pharmacy software systems is an advantage.
